On 3/26, my kitchen sink line was not draining and my washing machine line started backing up as well. I called Preferred Plumbing & Drain and they sent out a technician the same day. My kitchen line was so backed up that the snake broke in my kitchen line. They sent another technician out to assist. They pulled the cable out very quickly. They went to the backyard clean out and as soon as they removed the cap it overflowed. They cleaned everything up, cleared the line and cleaned up the overflow mess. They were even telling my curious daughter what they were doing as well, it was very professional and thoughtful. On top of that, they fixed my water pressure in my kitchen as it was super low ever since my water heater was changed out by my neighbor. Jesus was AMAZING! We are working with a rental management company and they came out right away. They fixed the drain issue and installed the new dishwasher. This morning Lina and 2 assistants came to my home in Rio Vista to fix the water heater. She's the only female plumber I've ever seen in my life - very professional and responsible. I had some moisture under my home, something was leaking. So within a couple of days, experienced plumbers Tony and Gage replaced repaired and updated the existing plumbing. I know it was a challenge but they were very professional and were good at making decisions. I recommend this company and will look forward to working with them in the future. So thankful for Preferred Plumbing and Drain. My 4 yr old son had watched a YouTube video of kids flushing items down the toilet and managed to clog 2 toilets! After a couple days of trying to unclog it ourselves and no signs of improvement, we decided to call these guys at 8pm. They sent out Anthony 78 who came about an hour later. Very nice guy. He made an assessment and let us know that he would have to come back the next day with all the proper equipment. The next day, Anthony and an apprentice came and worked on both bathrooms for a little over 4 hours and fixed EVERYTHING way better than before! I'm so thankful for their services and their friendly demeanor. Definitely a HIGHLY RECOMMEND company for all your plumbing needs! Thank you Anthony and Joe! Our kitchen faucet broke and detached from the basin. They were very fast to respond and send out a technician to us. They were accurate on arrival times and kept me updated! When Marcos arrived, he was very quick, he got the part and returned back in a timely manner and I didn't have to question anything. He was extremely informative and straight to the point. I'm very pleased with his services & we greatly appreciate that he was able to complete everything before lunch time (when we needed to use the sink the most)! Last month both toilets and both showers were plugged and overflowing.  Ernie came out tried everything to clear the blockahe, finally having to go under the house. Once it finally cleared, it was recommended that the configuration of the back to back toilet pipes, be corrected. Today Perferred zplumbing sent Ernie and David to go under the house and correct the problem. They worked for hours and finally corrected the problem. 12/14/2022 Shout out to the tech that cam out to my apartment today. Through thoughtful and hella funny. My landlord what a compliment but head to the guys while there were trying to complete there work which prolonged the precess. But I kept telling the tech that I  just grateful for not walking out of the job because my landlord was being so difficult to deal with. Personally it was nice to have someone else from outside understand why I hate having to ask for work to be done. This company will be our go to for our plumbing needs. Tony #74 was awesome! He came out and gave us a free estimate, which we felt was reasonable for his time. He was able to install two faucets for our master bathroom sinks in just under two hours. He was thorough and tidy. When he came out and did the estimate, he was knowledgeable about the issue and recommended that we replace the two faucets. We highly recommend this company for your plumbing needs. We've had a persistent leak for almost 8-9 years (don't ask‍). A technician was sent out and used some equipment to try and locate leak but was unable. They scheduled Victor to come out and use the camera to locate leak. Victor was professional, courteous and was able to pinpoint the area he believed the leak might be coming from. I should clarify and say that there actually is no leak, but groundwater that has entered the drainage pipes. Victor then used the i pressure jet to help clear out the line. I went back to the area he marked as possibly being the source of the leak and found a huge root ball (6 feet) in the pipe and was able to remove it. As I said earlier, Victor was great to work with, knowledgeable and the pricing was extremely fair. I'd recommend this company and Victor for your drainage and plumbing needs.

We had a blockage in our line that caused the toilet to backup and overflow. Not a pretty sight. I called Preferred Plumbing and Drain and they sent someone out within a couple of hours. The plumber that came out was able to clear the drain quickly.  He was very friendly and explained everything he was doing. I was impressed with how he was very  thorough with cleaning all of the areas he worked in. He was able to complete the kob in one hourwhich made me feel that he was conscientious of the time and did not try to spread out the work to make it an extra hour. THANK YOU DREW!!  Because of the quick response from Chad the manager at Preferred plumbing I am revising my review.  Chad contacted me about my issues.  Chad sent Drew out to see if the problem could be corrected without breaking up my new concrete. Drew came out assessed the situation, listened to my concerns, came up with a solution and Chad made it a reality! Once again Preferred Plumbing came through to address a emergency! We had both floor drains backed up in the dish room. We first called a vendor and after trying for 2 days and two different technicians they couldn't address it. They then called to tell me that they recommended breaking open the floors and replacing the plumbing! 25K!!! Two get a second opinion, I had Preferred Plumbing out and they sent Ricardo (21yr plumber w/ company) out and after using a crazy amount of tricks he was able to clear the lines!!! Bill was $385! One of their technicians, James, came by and installed my Waterdrop RO System.  It took a few tries to get it right but the system works great and customer service was prompt, responsive, and easily reachable. What wonderful service I received from Scott W. of Preferred Plumbing & Drain!! The day I received the keys to my new apartment, I found out the plumbing in the bathroom sink was absolutely caput! SO disappointing! However, Scott came on site (late Friday night) and was able to analyze the issue. Saturday afternoon Scott returned to fix the piping in under an hour!!! Scott is a wonderful plumber who was assisted by his apprentice. Scott was able to relay to me in laymen's terms what was wrong with the sink and fix it with ease! Final Update Great for emergencies (5-stars for emergencies) We had 2 instances where we needed an emergency plumbing company and they were responsive, communicative, knowledgeable, prompt, and professional. We had a long and extremely negative experience having to do with repairs that required a lot of follow up on our end. I have left a few notes from my original review regarding that experience, but removed some of the images and much of text to reduce the length of the review. They ultimately resolved the situation quickly and respectfully (after I contacted them again following almost a year of no communication in either direction), and I am increasing my review to 4 stars. In short, if asking them to come out to do a larger project, keep notes of who you spoke to and when, what the content was in the conversation, and a list of scheduled and show/no-show for appointments. ____________________________________ Update - they are in correspondence with us to fix the problems outlined below. We will update again when it is fully resolved. Updated to 3 stars pending resolution. ____________________________________ Original Review - 1 star. We had very positive experiences with them for 2 emergency plumbing needs. Separately, they installed a water heater and the tech did it incorrectly, which caused a leak and subsequent damage to the ceiling and floor in the bathroom downstairs. Came home early this morning from an ER trip to our water heater leaking out from the top. :( Just great. Another first world battle during COVID! I remembered my cousin referred me to Preferred Plumbing & Drain so I called the first number I found on Yelp. Britney was friendly, took all my information & told me to get some rest and someone would be on their way soon enough. Took a couple hours nap, woke up thinking it was all a dream but then I received a call from Darren saying Seth & Ronnie were on their way. 15 minutes later, they arrived & found that our 18 year old heater had an internal leak & was done for. They gave me some options of which kind of water heater I could replace it with and I decided to go with the same brand, no questions asked. They left and about an hour later, came back, uninstalled our old water heater & installed the new one with new parts & lines. Darren went ahead & finished the transaction over the phone and now we have running hot water again! Yay! Thank you Preferred Plumbing, Britney, Darren, Seth & Ronnie. Wow is all I can say!  This company truly came to my rescue and on Mother's Day when my water heater went out. I filled out an online request and within less than an hour they were at my door. Stephen 5 was extremely professional and explained everything every step of the way. He didn't leave a mess like some ithers have done in the past. He also noticed a leaking faucet in my front yard and was able to quickly fix that. I would definitely recommend them to any of my friends that need plumbing services. I had an issue with a leaking pipe in my kitchen sink back in July and called Preferred Plumbing & Drain to see whether they could fix the issue. They sent a plumber over to do an assessment and said only one of the pipes needs to be replaced. He didn't have the part but did go to a hardware store to get it. He replaced the old pipe and, since then, it's been working perfectly fine. The cost of labor and the replacement part amounted to $200.00. I have used Preferred Plumbing for years for any plumbing issue I have had.  Never had a complaint.  No complaints about workmanship at all.  My only complaint is they charge a $10.00 administrative fee before you even start.  And they charged $20.00 fee for gas even though their company is literally just around the corner. In March, my main water valve leaked. I called Preferred late on Sunday. Preferred advised me that Scheduling would call, which they did within a short time. I set up an appointment for the next day. Early on Monday. Preferred called to confirm the appointment. Plumbing Technician, Roderick Ford #52, contacted me and confirmed his arrival. Rod arrived promptly. I advised him of my issue. Rod completed a thorough examination and provided an estimate, which was lower than my two prior bids. Rod replaced the water value and completed my invoice very timely. We recently had a clogged toilet, which turned out to be a clogged sewer line affecting the toilet, the shower and a sink. I called preferred Plumbing at 9:50 in the morning, and by 11:15 Michael (#79) was at our door. Very nice and polite gentleman. He did some checking, explained what he needed to do, and by noon, was writing up the bill. Michael was very organized and efficient, and cleaned up when finished. Finding a deep pipe that busted showed up early stayed late extremely friendly I got the service that I requested they went above and  beyond quality of work was top tie ! I needed a leaking valve replaced that provided water to my backyard irrigation. Setting the appointment was very easy. I received a call in the morning to confirm when Rod would be at the house. He had the parts on his truck and got started right away. So the other night, while at work,the water for our main office bldg stopped working, nothing worked, sinks, toilets, Nothing! After a little investigation, we learned that someone had completely removed our backflow, crippling our main office bldg. This was a first for me, and I needed to rectify the situation as quick as possible. Called the company that monitors our fire suppression system,to see if they could help...no they couldn't, tried another plumbing company,to which they gave me a bunch of excuses, of how hard it was going to locate the part on short notice, and just a lot of "what ifs", which was no help for our situation. Called Preferred plumbing & Drain...This turned out to be the best decision and answer to my serious situation. Within 30 min, they had 1 of their techs onsite to do a cursory inspection of what was happening and what would be needed to fix our problem... within 10 min the tech was on the fone to his home office with the details, and informed me that I would receive a fone call shortly from his service manager Herman. Let's just say Herman does his job very well, and was very detailed and informative and straight to the point...which is what I like in a stressful situation, Once he finished laying out the fix, he called me back in 30 minutes with the quote, which intailed, Backflow replacement, backflow testing, cage design and installation, all in 1 sweet package. I had my superior approve the work immediately, to which Preferred plumbing & Drain, dispatched, Anthony #74 and Fernando #16 to our property, which at this time it had started to rain heavily, which I would have understood if they wanted to wait out the rain, because Ive worked in many times, and do not like doing, did not deter them one bit from their mission...Yes they were in the rain handling business, no complaints, just dedication to us the customer, which me and my team greatly appreciated very much. And last but far from least, was Cynthia R., who was my first contact at Preferred plumbing & Drain, and was such a refreshing and calm professional, who answered all my questions and made me feel so much better about my situation and that there was a solution in sight, which was a huge relief for me and my team... Today, Juan from Preferred Plumbing, came out to my home.  When I ran water in the bathroom sink, I heard gurgling noises from the tub and then water backed up.  Then the water in the toilet went down.  Oh boy!  Juan checked the back clean-out pipe and removed a big ol' nasty clump of roots and toilet paper near the top of the pipe!  He cabled the sewer pipe also. Toilets were fixed. Tub was still not draining so he cabled that part and saw the clog. All pipes cleared and everything worked fine!  Price was good. My husband and I live in a senior community in Roseville. Our shower would not drain and was spilling water from the shower onto the bathroom floor . We called preferred plumbing and drain in am . I own a home in both Modesto and Antioch.  I hired these people to come out for a service call on my home in Modesto.  The people renting the place, complained of a problem that stemmed from under the sink. The response time was fairly quick with them, they came right out. They had to switch out a disposal, and they were able to do it fairly quick. I feel they were reasonably priced, and provided a good service / good rate. The problem was fixed in a reasonable time, and they had good prices. Called this organization on a Sunday evening....an internet search for local "emergency" plumbers brought them up, they had good reviews and offered a free estimate/evaluation even on a Sunday evening and almost dark out....a sudden water leak situation that seemed like it was "inside a wall".....bathrooms were dry, what the hell. I want to thank Shafee from Preferred Plumbing, who saved me from living without hot water for 10 days. He arrived in less than an hour after I made the service request. Very professional and polite, he went above and beyond to help me and my daughter avoid struggling with cold showers. I had a faulty control valve on my water heater that was leaking gas, which needed replacement. PG&E had disconnected the gas due to unsafe conditions. The part was hard to find, and most stores only offered online preorders with a wait time of around 10 days. However, Shafee managed to locate it in just an hour. He installed it quickly, identified and addressed other potential hazards, and replaced the old gas valve and pipes. Despite it getting late, he stayed until everything was done and ensured the heater was safe and working properly. He thoroughly inspected for any other issues or leaks before leaving me feeling secure. Preferred Plumbing provides amazing service! We are happy with Preferred Plumbing and have used them multiple times in the last several years. We have had toilets overflow, sewage pipes back up, water heater pipe issues, etc. They have great management, good customer service, and excellent plumbers/technicians. Whenever there is an issue or concern, management is quick to rectify and they warranty their service. Their rates are definitely reasonable. Most recently, we had a water heater pipe leak. It was repaired, but did not seal properly. Rod, with Preferred Plumbing came out and redid the pipes efficiently and thoroughly and at no charge. He was great to work with. Our apartment drain backed up on Easter and the tub and toilet started to fill with water. I was worried no one would come out on a weekend, much less Easter Sunday. Called Preferred and spoke with Owen. He was friendly and said he would look for a truck to send out. He asked if I wanted a call back when the plumber was on his way. He called back and gave an arrival window which was about an hour and a half away. Garrett #43 showed up as promised and went to work clearing the line. Posting an update: After my previous review, one of the managers, Ronnie, reached out to me. He explained how the tech that came to my house was only on his second call with the company and did not follow the right protocol. Ronnie apologized for the issue I faced, promised to update the training on their side, offered me a full refund on the service and additionally offered labor credit on the next job. I called preferred plumbing again for a shower clog in the shower. The tech that came this time was extremely knowledgeable in figuring out how to reach the clog, as it wasn't reachable directly from the shower drain. He was also upfront about the cost of the job. A little over a month ago, I had a clogged toilet.  The representative o the phone was very professional yet very pleasant.   Someone came by in a couple of hours. Today Devaun Welch, from Preferred Plumbers arrived at our house this afternoon and after looking at the situation it was discussed that we definitely needed to replace the faucet. About 2 to 3 weeks ago he came and he had to do alot if work stop the leak from under the sink, tighten the faucet on the top and a few other things. We decided to see if what  was done would work. Which it actually did just now just from the back of the faucet the leak was starting and after much decision and explaining to myself and husband we decided to replace the faucet.  The price and labor was told from  the beginning. Told what would be done. Plus I  have to say Mr. Welch was very neat with his work and cleaned everything up. After countless of phone calls to other plumbing companies w/out answer or return calls, Preferred Plumbing & Drain was able to deliver same day service. Initially I was hesitant since I called three times throughout the day in two-three hour intervals, but the dispatchers always assured me a technician would come that day. They were professional and attentive. Enter Michael (#34) who arrived in the late afternoon/evening from a job in Hayward to my place in Milpitas. I had a leaking pipe in my garage where the water entered the house. The water had been leaking for two days at a fast pace, so I was relieved a technician showed up. Michael (#34) assessed the situation and was able to diagnose the problem quickly informing me that my water intake valve needed to be replaced. He provided me a conservative estimate for his time which he was able to outpace lowering the cost from the original estimate. He also let me know which parts were needed to complete the project. What I appreciated most from Michael (#34) was the professionalism and thoroughness he displayed during the service. He explained what he was doing step-by-step and didn't mind me watching and asking questions. He seemed very honest and I didn't get the feeling I was being taken advantage of. After the repair was done he showed me how to adjust the water pressure to my house. Overall I'm very happy with the service provided by Preferred Plumbing & Drain. The service was done quickly and at a much lower cost than expected. I received a quote from another company and it was 2x more than what I spent. I called preferred plumbing at 6 pm on a Sunday with an emergency job. Water was not flushing and backing up into my toilet and shower. I called, and within an hour, they sent out a technician, Gene. He was professional and very nice. He snaked the plumbing and found the cause approximately 90 feet down the line. Old pipes, corrosion and a Saturday evening was a perfect mix for a disaster. Preferred Plumbing sent Michael (Tech 34) over immediately and Michael did a great job fixing the issue. The leak was behind a dry wall in a cramped dark corner behind the water heater. But for some reason Michael knew exactly what needed to be done. After removing the leaking and corroded joint, he fabricated an 'L' on the spot in my garage and then proceeded to fix it properly and at the end I had running water again. We had a kitchen faucet that was leaking in multiple locations on Lunar New Years weekend that was causing us a lot of grief! Called these guys and they picked right up. Lifesavers!!!  I called the first plumber that Google listed when I searched for emergency plumber. Preferred Plumbing was the lucky ones.  I never used them before. I called in a complete panic.  Water was pouring into my house by the gallons because a water pipe broke under my kitchen sink and the main water shutoff value was broken.  The fire department came and shut off the water at the street.  They were worried about the potential water damage in multiple rooms. They showed me how to use a wet vac and helped me to get to work.  They were absolutely wonderful!  A few minutes later, Mohamed arrived from Preferred Plumbing and saved the day! We live in a house that was built in 1962 , and most of the pipes and fittings are from 1962. It's getting to be where I can't get down on my hands and knees anymore ,and my hands don't function correctly anymore either. On Sunday November 20, 2022 Colleen was coming through the gatehouse to get checked in to go to a particular home for a estimate. She mentioned she was a plumber. I happened to have been working on a plumbing situation since the previous day. The toilet wasn't giving me mercy. I asked her if she can give me any advise on how I can get the toilet to unclog. I already plunged, used liquid plumber, dish soap and coat hanger. Manually cupping the water out of the toilet into a bucket in order to flush the toilet to see if pipes were cleared on several occasions nothing I would do worked. Needless to say I was NOT to happy with the person that clogged this toilet. Colleen suggested I get a toilet auger from home depot. By this time I was washing the gatehouse windows. All of the sudden in comes Colleen to come to my rescue. She brought her auger into the gatehouse and she was able to breakthrough the clog. She had that toilet unclogged in minutes. Colleen is highly skilled and an amazing plumber. I am so appreciative for her to come to my rescue. I will be calling Preferred Plumbing and requesting Colleen for all of my personal pluming needs for my home as well as referring her to others. I highly recommend Colleen at Preferred Plumbing for any and all plumbing needs. As a matter of fact I have recommended her to several people today. Shout out to Kaleel @ Preferred Plumbing.  A toilet in our condo was continuously running - not an emergency, but not good in this drought. Called Preferred and they had someone here within a couple of hours (it turned out Kaleel was on his way home and they pointed him in our direction). He diagnosed the problem quickly, ran to get supplies, saved money on the supplies, did the installation in, literally, 10 minutes and completed the paperwork smoothly and quickly. He was so easy to work with. Very pleasant personality and extremely knowledgeable. Took the time to explain what the issues were and the fixes to address. Was careful with any equipment brought into the house, and thoroughly cleaned up afterwards. If I had any questions he took time to respond. My frazzled phone call at 11:30pm on a Thursday evening was answered by Brian, who was incredibly patient as he described to me in detail how to shut of my water and what could be wrong with the valve when the water wasn't turning off -- he scheduled someone to come out the next day and it was Tyler to the rescue with a new water heater he risked life and limb to replace in a very precarious outdoor closet. Our hot water died and needed to be completely replaced. Unfortunately, whoever installed the recently deceased water heater installed everything wrong! Wrong kind of pipes, wrong valves, you name it. That fact that it worked for so long is kind of miraculous, but installing a new one meant having to undo all of those mistakes first. Tyler worked diligently to fix it all, updating me throughout the process. Jesus, a new addition to their team, assisted Tyler while learning the ropes during his first day out in the field. Update - Erik called within an hour of this post, he apologized and we set an appointment.  Office staff is back to normal good service Preferred Plumbing (Concord office) is in trouble - service has gone down the drain.   We had an appoint for Sat 9/24, to be the first appointment of the day.  They did not call to confirm, text in advance or any of their normal good service practices.  I called at 11am - office said that the tech had an emergency call.  OK.  At 11am, still no call that he was en route.  I postponed the appointment to the following Sat, 10/1. I couldn't be any happier with how we were treated by Preferred Plumbing. My 90 gallon bathtub started draining into my showers and flooding the bathroom. As we cleaned up the mess, I called every plumber I could find that advertised 24 hour service. This was Saturday around 1130 pm. Preferred Plumbing was the only company I could actually get ahold of that didn't want to charge $80-100 just to show up. Brian was so nice and because it was a busy evening for them, got us scheduled for a visit at 9 am for a free estimate. I hate having strangers in my house, but Gene was so polite and made me feel comfortable right away. He kept us in the loop about what he was doing and what he might try next. The fix was way more affordable than we expected. Charles quickly fixed my water heaters thermocoupler and was responsive when issue with water heater continued. Tony #74 was really great. So was George too who did the original evaluation. We had a galvanized pipe 200ft in length, from the 1960's, that feeds our home with fresh water from the water main, at the back of our property, spring a leak deep underground.  Tony found the leak and replaced the bad pipe. The job was completed in 2 days and he did the entire job on his own.  Very good communicator, hard working, and trustworthy.  He spoke to my wife, who has no clue about the irrigation vs water system (intake/sewer) in our back yard and helped her understand what was going on and explained the process completely. We had a realistic estimate upfront and didn't pay more for the job. We had an update every few hours on progress and learned so much about our yard pipes. The reason I'm writing this review is because I feel that this is a good company. They aren't trying to elevate the cost of the job by making it larger than it is. Our kitchen floor was damaged due to water leak behind the kitchen sink. Micheal (Tech 34) came and found out the leak is in the main pipe connecting all four houses in the condo. so he quickly analyzed and next day itself he came and fixed the leaking. i initialized thought he would rip the entire wall so that he could go in and replace the broken pipe. But he was really smart and known things very well and just opened up the space needed to fix the issue. And while fixing the issue, he answered politely for every single question that I asked. The two techs were very knowledgeable and were very careful inside my house.  I will definitely use this company in the future. My hose bib burst first thing in the morning and Tony (#74) from PPD was at my house by 9am. It was his day off but he lived in the same town and wanted to help out. It turned out to be a more complex job than he thought and he was super helpful and knowledgeable. He went to the store to get all the right parts and had the problem fixed and the water turned on to the house very quickly. I felt he truly went above and beyond to help me out and get the job done. If you have a clog, don't search any further just call these guys. Tom and Victor went above and beyond to find the cause of the clog (Concord area). This company responds quickly and delivers. I called around on a Saturday afternoon,  other plumbing companies told me to wait until Monday. I had a plumber at my door in less than 45 minutes. Needed pipes replaced. Old Cast Iron.  Eric Adams from Preferred came out. Did a through inspection. Quoted me an excellent price to replace the pipes after running a camera through the lines showing me the tree roots and the pipe decomposing internally.  He worked mostly by himself on the job. Took him two days and a lot of hours. Eric did an excellent job and was a pleasure to work with.  I told him that he was my GO TO GUY from now on. My toilet was leaking from the bottom. I called Preferred Plumbing and Tony # 74 came to my house promptly. Tony was very polite and courteous from the minute I opened the door. He was very knowledgeable and explained what the issue was and what needed to be fixed and replaced. Tony # 74 gave me an accurate estimate which I agreed to. He quickly fixed the problem and my toilet was in good working condition again. Tony had great customer service skills and I would definetely recommend Tony # 74 if you are in need of a plumber. Our sewer was backed up late on Friday evening. We called for help. They took our call right away, and scheduled the appointment quickly. I appreciated that they were kind and professional on the phone. Plumber, Reggie, came first thing the next morning as scheduled. He was able to find the issue right away. He was very professional, did not waste any time, found the issue, fixed the issues and then made sure there were no more issues. He was very thorough and made sure we would not have any more issues any time soon, which was great because the issue was a little more complex than it first looked. Reggie communicated well, so we could see the problem ourselves and understood what he did to take care of the issue. The price was fair and worth it. This was a very good customer experience. Our technician was Tony74.  Our shower head wasn't working for years.   Once he inspected the shower and discovered what he needed to do, he told us what he needed to do and kept us informed every step of the way. Our tub drain got clogged a couple days ago and stopped draining completely. It left pool of water for hours at a time before it went down. Brad stopped by in less than an hour after we called which was also 7:30 at night!He was able to clear the drain in 10 minutes. The whole thing was quick and painless and less than an hour! We had a few issues with our toilet and Bryan was out in the earlier half of his predicted time. He was incredibly polite and had a great personality. He informed us he could finish a "good-enough" fix for a very low rate because it was only a 30-minute fix, but there were other issues (which I was aware of so I know he was being genuine) and we decided to have him fix everything which he anticipated would take 60-90 minutes. He left after almost two hours, including about 45 minutes where he had to run to Home Depot, which is about a 5-minute drive, for a part. We were charged for 90 minutes and the part for a bit over $300 total (including about $40 for the part and admin fee) Only two small things keep this from being perfect. After 40 minutes of him being gone to Home Depot, I looked outside and saw his truck sitting out front. I opened the door to look around and didn't see him coming. A few minutes later I went and checked again and after opening the door to look around a second time, he got out of the car. He could have been doing something productive, but it was several minutes in the driver's seat that just seemed odd when he made it seem like it would be a super quick trip out. The other small thing is he didn't have any kind of foot coverings like I've seen used before and his dirty shoes with the previously flooded bathroom left a bit of a muddy mess, but it only took 2-3 minutes to clean. The leak has stopped and we can now turn off the water to the toilet instead of the whole house, and he was a very sweet guy, and I would use this service again. Like I said that have always been great to us and we have always used them. I would hate for one bad experience with them to ruin so many good years to us. There company contacted us. The issues on what happen will be addressed and assured us our business to them was greatly appreciated. The validation of being a long time coustmer was nice and there gestures to make things right was good business. I will be calling back if I need service again. This company has never failed me in the past and I won't let one bad experience with staff wreak it. They have come on Thanksgiving day, the day before Christmas eve, they have had to come out and fix the main water line before because a fence contractor broke it during work on a weekend eveing. Wow!  That really describes this company and it's people.  New Year's Eve and all sinks,toilets and baths were overflowing. No one could come out till next week so in desperation I called there number in Sacramento knowing they would say too far away. This was at 11.00 a.m.  he told me that he could have someone out but would have to call me back,,,, ya checks in the mail.  Well he did indeed call me back within minutes and told me he was pulling a man off a job 15 miles away and he'd be right up.  I live in the hills.  Well 30minutes later. 2 trucks pulled up and was greeted byMatt and Jack and Tadashi.  Immediately and professionally jumped into action and in no time flat had it fixed. Lots of water was leaking out from the bottom of my toilet. After reading the reviews I called preferred plumbing. The downside was that they didn't have anyone available until 9 at night due to their techs being extremely busy. Matt was friendly and upfront about the costs. He found the problem and was able to fix it that night. Matt took the the time to show and explain the problem to me. He made me feel confident in the work that he did to fix my plumbing issue. I was selling my condo and my water heater wasn't up to code per the inspection that the buyers had done. I had very limited time to find a plumbing company that could come out and make sure that my water heater was up to code by the time my condo was closing. I contacted Preferred Plumbing & Drain on a Tuesday and spoke with a gentleman named Josh, he said it would be no problem at all to get someone out to my condo the next day at 10am. Technician Herman showed up right on time on Wednesday and looked at the Inspection paperwork I had on what needed to be done to the water heater and was able to bring it up to code in just a couple of hours. The customer service this company had was amazing, it made a stressful time go so smoothly for me.
