Jesus was AMAZING! We are working with a rental management company and they came out right away. They fixed the drain issue and installed the new dishwasher. This morning Lina and 2 assistants came to my home in Rio Vista to fix the water heater. She's the only female plumber I've ever seen in my life - very professional and responsible. Our kitchen faucet broke and detached from the basin. They were very fast to respond and send out a technician to us. They were accurate on arrival times and kept me updated! When Marcos arrived, he was very quick, he got the part and returned back in a timely manner and I didn't have to question anything. He was extremely informative and straight to the point. I'm very pleased with his services & we greatly appreciate that he was able to complete everything before lunch time (when we needed to use the sink the most)! Last month both toilets and both showers were plugged and overflowing.  Ernie came out tried everything to clear the blockahe, finally having to go under the house. Once it finally cleared, it was recommended that the configuration of the back to back toilet pipes, be corrected. Today Perferred zplumbing sent Ernie and David to go under the house and correct the problem. They worked for hours and finally corrected the problem. 12/14/2022 Shout out to the tech that cam out to my apartment today. Through thoughtful and hella funny. My landlord what a compliment but head to the guys while there were trying to complete there work which prolonged the precess. But I kept telling the tech that I  just grateful for not walking out of the job because my landlord was being so difficult to deal with. Personally it was nice to have someone else from outside understand why I hate having to ask for work to be done. We've had a persistent leak for almost 8-9 years (don't ask‍). A technician was sent out and used some equipment to try and locate leak but was unable. They scheduled Victor to come out and use the camera to locate leak. Victor was professional, courteous and was able to pinpoint the area he believed the leak might be coming from. I should clarify and say that there actually is no leak, but groundwater that has entered the drainage pipes. Victor then used the i pressure jet to help clear out the line. I went back to the area he marked as possibly being the source of the leak and found a huge root ball (6 feet) in the pipe and was able to remove it. As I said earlier, Victor was great to work with, knowledgeable and the pricing was extremely fair. I'd recommend this company and Victor for your drainage and plumbing needs.

Once again Preferred Plumbing came through to address a emergency! We had both floor drains backed up in the dish room. We first called a vendor and after trying for 2 days and two different technicians they couldn't address it. They then called to tell me that they recommended breaking open the floors and replacing the plumbing! 25K!!! Two get a second opinion, I had Preferred Plumbing out and they sent Ricardo (21yr plumber w/ company) out and after using a crazy amount of tricks he was able to clear the lines!!! Bill was $385! One of their technicians, James, came by and installed my Waterdrop RO System.  It took a few tries to get it right but the system works great and customer service was prompt, responsive, and easily reachable. What wonderful service I received from Scott W. of Preferred Plumbing & Drain!! The day I received the keys to my new apartment, I found out the plumbing in the bathroom sink was absolutely caput! SO disappointing! However, Scott came on site (late Friday night) and was able to analyze the issue. Saturday afternoon Scott returned to fix the piping in under an hour!!! Scott is a wonderful plumber who was assisted by his apprentice. Scott was able to relay to me in laymen's terms what was wrong with the sink and fix it with ease! Final Update Great for emergencies (5-stars for emergencies) We had 2 instances where we needed an emergency plumbing company and they were responsive, communicative, knowledgeable, prompt, and professional. We had a long and extremely negative experience having to do with repairs that required a lot of follow up on our end. I have left a few notes from my original review regarding that experience, but removed some of the images and much of text to reduce the length of the review. They ultimately resolved the situation quickly and respectfully (after I contacted them again following almost a year of no communication in either direction), and I am increasing my review to 4 stars. In short, if asking them to come out to do a larger project, keep notes of who you spoke to and when, what the content was in the conversation, and a list of scheduled and show/no-show for appointments. ____________________________________ Update - they are in correspondence with us to fix the problems outlined below. We will update again when it is fully resolved. Updated to 3 stars pending resolution. ____________________________________ Original Review - 1 star. We had very positive experiences with them for 2 emergency plumbing needs. Separately, they installed a water heater and the tech did it incorrectly, which caused a leak and subsequent damage to the ceiling and floor in the bathroom downstairs. Came home early this morning from an ER trip to our water heater leaking out from the top. :( Just great. Another first world battle during COVID! I remembered my cousin referred me to Preferred Plumbing & Drain so I called the first number I found on Yelp. Britney was friendly, took all my information & told me to get some rest and someone would be on their way soon enough. Took a couple hours nap, woke up thinking it was all a dream but then I received a call from Darren saying Seth & Ronnie were on their way. 15 minutes later, they arrived & found that our 18 year old heater had an internal leak & was done for. They gave me some options of which kind of water heater I could replace it with and I decided to go with the same brand, no questions asked. They left and about an hour later, came back, uninstalled our old water heater & installed the new one with new parts & lines. Darren went ahead & finished the transaction over the phone and now we have running hot water again! Yay! Thank you Preferred Plumbing, Britney, Darren, Seth & Ronnie. In March, my main water valve leaked. I called Preferred late on Sunday. Preferred advised me that Scheduling would call, which they did within a short time. I set up an appointment for the next day. Early on Monday. Preferred called to confirm the appointment. Plumbing Technician, Roderick Ford #52, contacted me and confirmed his arrival. Rod arrived promptly. I advised him of my issue. Rod completed a thorough examination and provided an estimate, which was lower than my two prior bids. Rod replaced the water value and completed my invoice very timely. I had an amazing experience with Preferred Plumbing & Drain from start to finish. They were an absolute pleasure to work with. I especially appreciated that they called ahead to ask what time would work best -- this meant a lot since it was my daughter's first day of school. They also called to let me know when the plumber was on the way, which helped me plan my day better. We initially had someone come out the day before, but the snake machine wasn't enough for the job. The company was super helpful in explaining everything we needed to do next and made sure the process was smooth. Once everything was approved, Vincent came out to take care of our very backed-up drain. He was professional, polite, and kept us informed every step of the way. Had a plumbing problem this evening. Kitchen sink was clogged and plunging it did not help.  Called Preferred Plumbing and they sent out a technician.  "J" was his name. Very professional.  Answered any questions I had.  He snaked the line, cleared out the clog, checked the pipe connections and tested the water flow.  Water drained out like normal.  Job well done!! Called this organization on a Sunday evening....an internet search for local "emergency" plumbers brought them up, they had good reviews and offered a free estimate/evaluation even on a Sunday evening and almost dark out....a sudden water leak situation that seemed like it was "inside a wall".....bathrooms were dry, what the hell. Anyway, our plumber arrived with all the enthusiasm you would want to see, assessed the situation, decided it could wait till the morning, came back next day and solved it. She is smart, efficient, has excellent communication skills as well as excellent professional skills!! She is a gem! And the price was completely reasonable, yes, she had to open up a wall and fix a leak. The hole was neatly done and minimal size to get the job done. I really appreciate this company and their process of getting someone out on a Sunday evening with no charge for the call, very organized group!! And COLLEEN was amazing. And adorable. Najee came to help with a toilet leak that not only flooded my bathroom but leaked through the ceiling onto my dining table and chairs. I know nothing about toilets or water supplies, Najee was so great taking care of everything and making suggestions for new parts and a new toilet that was needed. Posting an update: After my previous review, one of the managers, Ronnie, reached out to me. He explained how the tech that came to my house was only on his second call with the company and did not follow the right protocol. Ronnie apologized for the issue I faced, promised to update the training on their side, offered me a full refund on the service and additionally offered labor credit on the next job. I called preferred plumbing again for a shower clog in the shower. The tech that came this time was extremely knowledgeable in figuring out how to reach the clog, as it wasn't reachable directly from the shower drain. He was also upfront about the cost of the job. I recommend Preferred Plumbing & Drain and if you can request Michael (#34) for your service all the better. After countless of phone calls to other plumbing companies w/out answer or return calls, Preferred Plumbing & Drain was able to deliver same day service. Initially I was hesitant since I called three times throughout the day in two-three hour intervals, but the dispatchers always assured me a technician would come that day. They were professional and attentive. Enter Michael (#34) who arrived in the late afternoon/evening from a job in Hayward to my place in Milpitas. I had a leaking pipe in my garage where the water entered the house. The water had been leaking for two days at a fast pace, so I was relieved a technician showed up. Michael (#34) assessed the situation and was able to diagnose the problem quickly informing me that my water intake valve needed to be replaced. He provided me a conservative estimate for his time which he was able to outpace lowering the cost from the original estimate. He also let me know which parts were needed to complete the project. What I appreciated most from Michael (#34) was the professionalism and thoroughness he displayed during the service. He explained what he was doing step-by-step and didn't mind me watching and asking questions. He seemed very honest and I didn't get the feeling I was being taken advantage of. After the repair was done he showed me how to adjust the water pressure to my house. Overall I'm very happy with the service provided by Preferred Plumbing & Drain. The service was done quickly and at a much lower cost than expected. I received a quote from another company and it was 2x more than what I spent. I would definitely recommend Preffered Plumbing out of Modesto. I had a big project that required digging in to the living room slab from the front yard. They provided a very detailed scope of work so I knew what to expect and a timeline. Carlos was great a touching base with not only me but the city inspector during the 3 day project. we had an issue replacing the shower handle cartridge. I had got quote from another reputed business who not only charged me $89 for the visit but the quote was atrocious! ($750) even though i was providing the part. On someone's suggestion I called Preferred Plumbing. Michael (#34) was very responsive and clearly educated me on the problem and the options which never felt pushy. While doing the job he explained how everything worked and was able to fix the issue within an hour! the best part is they charge hourly which is very reasonable. We were not getting continuous stream of hot water in all showers despite the fact we had recently installed tankless water heater. We called Preferred Plumbing and talked to Josep who sent the best tech, Michael to find the issue. He promptly pointed out that showers have issue with the cartridge. He replaced the cartridge in all showers. One of showers had an issue of leaking water with the new cartridge which Michael promptly came back to fix it. This fixed the issue. We had a kitchen faucet that was leaking in multiple locations on Lunar New Years weekend that was causing us a lot of grief! Called these guys and they picked right up. Unfortunately we weren't able to get a same day appt, but all their guys were on emergency calls, which was understandable since it was the end of the week. Scheduling for the next day was easy. They came by and gave us a free estimate. Max was friendly, professional, and very transparent with pricing and what could potentially be the issue, which made us comfortable signing the contract for the job. He was also very patient with explaining his evaluation and answering our questions until we fully understood what the situation was. We ended up having to replace our faucet, and Max drove out to the local Home Depot to pick one up for us. Super appreciated how he inquired about our needs and budget first! He installed it very quickly, too, and checked to make sure that did in fact fix all leaking issues. I would definitely call them back again for another plumbing job and recommend them to a friend. Lifesavers!!!  I called the first plumber that Google listed when I searched for emergency plumber. Preferred Plumbing was the lucky ones.  I never used them before. I called in a complete panic.  Water was pouring into my house by the gallons because a water pipe broke under my kitchen sink and the main water shutoff value was broken.  The fire department came and shut off the water at the street.  They were worried about the potential water damage in multiple rooms. They showed me how to use a wet vac and helped me to get to work.  They were absolutely wonderful!  A few minutes later, Mohamed arrived from Preferred Plumbing and saved the day!  He fixed the sink and cleaned up all of the water!!!!!!  It was in my kitchen, den, hallway, living room, and working its way towards a bedroom.  Mohamed made the impossible completely manageable.  I wish I could called the firefighters back to brag about Mohamed's work.  They would never believe all of that water is gone! Preferred Plumbing - THANK YOU for being so responsive! We live in a house that was built in 1962 , and most of the pipes and fittings are from 1962. It's getting to be where I can't get down on my hands and knees anymore ,and my hands don't function correctly anymore either. Shane came across as having great Customer Service Skills, knowledgeable and professional, understood the problem at hand and what needed to be done to resolve . On Sunday November 20, 2022 Colleen was coming through the gatehouse to get checked in to go to a particular home for a estimate. She mentioned she was a plumber. I happened to have been working on a plumbing situation since the previous day. The toilet wasn't giving me mercy. I asked her if she can give me any advise on how I can get the toilet to unclog. I already plunged, used liquid plumber, dish soap and coat hanger. Manually cupping the water out of the toilet into a bucket in order to flush the toilet to see if pipes were cleared on several occasions nothing I would do worked. Needless to say I was NOT to happy with the person that clogged this toilet. Colleen suggested I get a toilet auger from home depot. By this time I was washing the gatehouse windows. All of the sudden in comes Colleen to come to my rescue. She brought her auger into the gatehouse and she was able to breakthrough the clog. She had that toilet unclogged in minutes. Colleen is highly skilled and an amazing plumber. I am so appreciative for her to come to my rescue. I will be calling Preferred Plumbing and requesting Colleen for all of my personal pluming needs for my home as well as referring her to others. I highly recommend Colleen at Preferred Plumbing for any and all plumbing needs. As a matter of fact I have recommended her to several people today. Colleen has not only a passion for plumbing but human beings. Colleen made my day and a wonderful impression. Human kindness is a wonderful thing and Coleen has that down. This is my second review for Colleen. She is amazing. We had a not so great experience with another plumber from here last night, which is not normal, fluke but very disappointing. Colleen came to the rescue today. She is so highly skilled, amazing customer service, and a killer plumber. She saved us. I run a 75 unit apartment complex and need emergency plumbers often. Shout out to Kaleel @ Preferred Plumbing.  A toilet in our condo was continuously running - not an emergency, but not good in this drought. Called Preferred and they had someone here within a couple of hours (it turned out Kaleel was on his way home and they pointed him in our direction). He diagnosed the problem quickly, ran to get supplies, saved money on the supplies, did the installation in, literally, 10 minutes and completed the paperwork smoothly and quickly. My frazzled phone call at 11:30pm on a Thursday evening was answered by Brian, who was incredibly patient as he described to me in detail how to shut of my water and what could be wrong with the valve when the water wasn't turning off -- he scheduled someone to come out the next day and it was Tyler to the rescue with a new water heater he risked life and limb to replace in a very precarious outdoor closet. Our hot water died and needed to be completely replaced. Unfortunately, whoever installed the recently deceased water heater installed everything wrong! Wrong kind of pipes, wrong valves, you name it. That fact that it worked for so long is kind of miraculous, but installing a new one meant having to undo all of those mistakes first. Tyler worked diligently to fix it all, updating me throughout the process. Jesus, a new addition to their team, assisted Tyler while learning the ropes during his first day out in the field. Update - Erik called within an hour of this post, he apologized and we set an appointment.  Office staff is back to normal good service Preferred Plumbing (Concord office) is in trouble - service has gone down the drain.   We had an appoint for Sat 9/24, to be the first appointment of the day.  They did not call to confirm, text in advance or any of their normal good service practices.  I called at 11am - office said that the tech had an emergency call.  OK.  At 11am, still no call that he was en route.  I postponed the appointment to the following Sat, 10/1. Our kitchen floor was damaged due to water leak behind the kitchen sink. Micheal (Tech 34) came and found out the leak is in the main pipe connecting all four houses in the condo. so he quickly analyzed and next day itself he came and fixed the leaking. i initialized thought he would rip the entire wall so that he could go in and replace the broken pipe. But he was really smart and known things very well and just opened up the space needed to fix the issue. And while fixing the issue, he answered politely for every single question that I asked. I highly recommend this company.  My bathrooms backed up so I called Roto-Rooter out and they couldn't unclog it.  This company came out the very next day and unclothed my plumbing.  The two techs were very knowledgeable and were very careful inside my house.  I will definitely use this company in the future. Our sewer was backed up late on Friday evening. We called for help. They took our call right away, and scheduled the appointment quickly. I appreciated that they were kind and professional on the phone. Plumber, Reggie, came first thing the next morning as scheduled. He was able to find the issue right away. He was very professional, did not waste any time, found the issue, fixed the issues and then made sure there were no more issues. He was very thorough and made sure we would not have any more issues any time soon, which was great because the issue was a little more complex than it first looked. We had a few issues with our toilet and Bryan was out in the earlier half of his predicted time. He was incredibly polite and had a great personality. He informed us he could finish a "good-enough" fix for a very low rate because it was only a 30-minute fix, but there were other issues (which I was aware of so I know he was being genuine) and we decided to have him fix everything which he anticipated would take 60-90 minutes. He left after almost two hours, including about 45 minutes where he had to run to Home Depot, which is about a 5-minute drive, for a part. We were charged for 90 minutes and the part for a bit over $300 total (including about $40 for the part and admin fee) Only two small things keep this from being perfect. After 40 minutes of him being gone to Home Depot, I looked outside and saw his truck sitting out front. I opened the door to look around and didn't see him coming. A few minutes later I went and checked again and after opening the door to look around a second time, he got out of the car. He could have been doing something productive, but it was several minutes in the driver's seat that just seemed odd when he made it seem like it would be a super quick trip out. The other small thing is he didn't have any kind of foot coverings like I've seen used before and his dirty shoes with the previously flooded bathroom left a bit of a muddy mess, but it only took 2-3 minutes to clean. The leak has stopped and we can now turn off the water to the toilet instead of the whole house, and he was a very sweet guy, and I would use this service again. Like I said that have always been great to us and we have always used them. I would hate for one bad experience with them to ruin so many good years to us. There company contacted us. The issues on what happen will be addressed and assured us our business to them was greatly appreciated. The validation of being a long time coustmer was nice and there gestures to make things right was good business. I will be calling back if I need service again. This company has never failed me in the past and I won't let one bad experience with staff wreak it. They have come on Thanksgiving day, the day before Christmas eve, they have had to come out and fix the main water line before because a fence contractor broke it during work on a weekend eveing. I was very impressed with the whole experience with Preferred Plumbing. I had a slow draining shower. I got several quotes from plumbers in the area. They were all quite high so I reached out to my next door neighbor. She recommended Preferred Plumbing. Their quote was less and they also charge by the quarter hour after the first hour. They were able to to send a plumber within an hour! Robert did the work and he was great. He was very knowledgeable, friendly, and thoroughly explained what needed to be done and a recap of what he had done. The shower is now draining beautifully! First of all, the company was very responsive and suggested free estimation. Secondly, the plumber came on time and also he investigated attic and crawl space quickly. He provided some possible causes on our toilet and he addressed the issues on the same day. He replaced old pieces after buying them. Also, he addressed the additional request we asked randomly. Vince came over today to help the water pressure problem we hade on one of our sinks. He works super efficiently!! First he spent within 10 mins to diagnose the problem. He explained to me and my husband and provided an estimate. The main shut off valve broke after being turned  for probably the first time in years when I moved into my home. I got bids from two other companies which both wanted to fix it in some much more complicated manner and quoted a thousand bucks for a simple fix. Preferred sent someone that replaced the broken valve for me for a fraction the cost for a job that took him just over an hour on the same day. I have a great quarter turn valve now and used it to complete fixing the tons of other old/broken valves in the house. I would say that the plumber was a very large man so had this been a different type of job, under the sink, small space type job I don't think he would have been able to do it realistically. Helped me quickly identify the kitchen sink problem that I fixed my self, repaired the rear spigot with new pipe connection and brass spigot while I replaced the front (had a leak, but didn't want to crank on the pipe without a plumber around in case I broke it, lol). As a surprise to my sister I installed a bidet. However the angle stop began to leak. I started freaking out because I could not stop the leak. I called Preferred Plumbing and Drain, they were so courteous and helpful. Their customer service was awesome and was after hours! They even provided me a coupon! The wonderful rep put me in touch with a manager for my area and the tech could arrive in 20 minutes!  Tech arrived as promised, was polite, personable, knowledgeable, and wore a mask the entire time. He left no mess and took away all the old gross parts. He was able to resolve my issue in about 15 minutes! Again this is after hours! I wasn't even charged an after hours premium. I am forever grateful and avoided tens of thousands of dollars worth of water damage. Two weeks later and still not a drop. They even threw a 90 day warranty on it! Highly recommended. I called preferred plumbing and they let me know that a technician was available within the hour which was extremely quicker than any of the other companies that I called. Marcos arrived within what could've been no longer than 30mins. Did not expect that!  My toilet was clogged and I tried plunging it, querying it and nothing was working. My first yelp review! It took friendly staff, good follow-through, and exceptional service to finally get me to give back to the yelp community - so here it goes. My initial need for a plumber happened when my 11-year-old water heater finally gave out. After doing some googling and asking around, I went with a friend's referral - Preferred Plumber. It was a good choice and I can't say enough good things about them. I was initially connected to their site's manager (Ron) who couldn't have handled our transaction anymore professionally. He broke down the process, made a seamless transition to one of his staff, and followed up after completion. Highlights of the work - arrived when they said they would, estimate didn't change even though things got a little tricky, and the guys were friendly and professional. Now part 2. I had a clogged kitchen sink that I thought would clear using a snake from ACE - all I got from that process was smelly hands, a sore back, and a whole lot of wasted time.  Again, phoned Ron and my second experience with Preferred Plumbing, like my first, went off without a hitch! Same great service, prompt, and professional. And like our first interaction, the work took a bit more time and required a little more effort, but the extras weren't reflected in the cost. they said they would come around 6pm, but came at 830... i would be pissed but not because they could have said, sorry it is too late keep your toilet leaking until tomorrow... but no, Michael still showed up at 830pm! worked until 11pm! fixed the issue permanently! and he was always kind and smiling. We recently had a backed-up main drain system.  We called around that evening for a plumber but the only one that would respond out was Preferred Plumbing & Drain.  Our service technician, Andrew, arrived at 8:30 pm and by 9:15 pm the drain was cleared.  He demonstrated to us the cleared drains and explained what he did in a very professional manner and he was Covid-19 safe, too. They located the leak in the wall right away. When he cut the hole in the sheetrock it was directly on the spot! It was amazing that he cut such a small hole in the wall and there was the tiny little hole in the copper pipe, hissing and spewing out water everywhere! He fixed it and the main shut off valve in minimal time. I was very surprised and impressed; furthermore, I never like to leave any business bad review because I know how hard it is to run a business. Our water heater, we thought, was leaking on a Friday evening.  We called a local plumbing company and were told to call in the morning as no one was available even though they are listed as 24 hour service.  We checked on NextDoor and saw a happy customer who had used Preferred Plumbing and said they were reasonable.   We called Preferred Plumbing and Eduardo came out to assess our problem.  It wasn't the water heater but a hole in a pipe, which was now spraying water all over.    He didn't have the necessary plug so he came back early  the next morning after getting the piece from the plumbing supply store.  He was able to cut the pipe, plug it and made sure there were no other leaks.  He stayed to focus on the flow of water making sure that was the main reason for our problem.  Eduardo was very professional, helpful and had a great personality.  He also checked to make sure he cleaned up thoroughly upon leaving.  Great asset to this company and we will be calling them again when our water heater does go out.  The cost for the work was reasonable and their adding a discount for veterans made it even more so! I am a disabled senior citizen, on a very low income. I had an issue  with my toilet. They were wonderful. They worked with me so i could afford the work that needed to be done. Had the "kid flushed something down the toilet" issue. Called Saturday night at 8:30pm to see if they could send someone since they are 24/7. No one could show until 7am so they said they would waive the call out fee or what ever it was called. I appreciated that. Next day it took a while and a couple calls but their plumber Andrew showed up around 10am. Super nice guy. Snaked the clean outs and got things flowing. Don't know if it was a toy or it was my toddler learning how to wipe with 20x the needed paper lol. Didn't try to upsell me etc etc. End of the day, nice folks. But 24/7.... is more like 9-5 7days. Andrew did a great job at our house. We had a smell coming out of the pipes that would not go away no matter what we did. After going through the plumbers provided by our home warranty we decided to try and find another company that can maybe get the job done. Where other plumbers simply came and played with the faucets for a few seconds and determined they didn't know it was, Andrew inspected thoroughly And came up with a game plan and solution that solved the problem almost immediately. Requested a quote from about three plumbers on Yelp, but Preferred Plumbing was the only one that came out the same day. I had a leak at the bottom of my toilet and Jason came out when he said he would.  He wore a mask, moved the toilet and discovered the problem. Dave took the time to explain what he was going to do and how long it would take. He had to go get a part, and gave a solid estimate of when he'd be back. He tried to replace the small part that was broken on the old kitchen faucet for the most economic option, unfortunately the part wasn't readily available. I called because of a plumbing concern.  Paul was put on the line and I explained my situation.  He is knowledgeable and with an explanation of his reasoning, assured me that the situation sounded like it wasn't an issue.  I felt like he was right but wanted the peace of mind of an inspection.  Michael Rivera Tech17 arrived on the same day.  He is personable, respectful of my property and explained all he was doing.  It wasn't a pleasant task because he had to crawl under the house in a small crawl space.  He showed me pictures of everything and made some recommendations for future work.  Everything was okay as Paul already knew.  It was worth the money for me to feel comfortable that there were no leaks.  I will always call Preferred Plumbing for any issues. 5 stars will not be enough for this company. During COVID-19 pandemic we are all used to seeing poor or below standard customer service and we accept it as our new norm. Well, that doesn't apply to the team from Preferred Plumbing & Drain. From my initial call for help at 6:20pm ( after sitting on my home warranties customer services queue for over an hour) I decided to reach out to other plumbers and see who I can get out to our duplex in Fremont. Our tenants both started experiencing water backing up from their sinks, toilets and shower with very low water flow. After being turned down by a dozen plumbers stating they have nobody available due to the pandemic, I landed my plumbing hero's at this company ( Preferred plumbing & Drain). Brittany took the call and assured me that they will get us the much needed same day service. She listened very carefully, asked a lot of questions and then gave me realistic timelines. She then mentioned that dispatch would contact me with-in 15 minutes to schedule a plumber to come out. To my surprise, in 10 minutes, Alberto contacted me and again another compassionate person ( Alberto) assured me that he will make as many calls to all of his plumbers to see who can go out there and if he had to pull them out of bed he would. By now it was almost 7:00pm, at 8:00pm walks in the hero Marcos! He immediately diagnosed the issue as a mainline back-up and rolled up his sleeves a d went to work and by 8:45pm he was unrolling his sleeves and leaving my property with his warm greetings after making sure all was resolved. Throughout the entire process Alberto kept in contact and provided me with constant updates and world class professionalism. Even after sitting on the home warranty companies phone queue for 3 hours, just to get a person on the other line telling me that I was transferred to the wrong department and nobody could help me until the next day. Just imagine if I hadn't called Preferred Plumbing & Drain, I would have been left abandoned by my home warranty company who I've paid nearly $700 a year to be there for me during these times. Oh did I mention their service fees was simply incredible and less then half the price of other plumbers who quoted me. Do yourself a huge favor and add this company to your contacts on all your devices. Tell your family, friends, CO-workers that this company and team REALLY care about your emergencies. Realtors, add this company to your list for your clients, they will make you shine! My husband and I are Realtors and they are now our ONLY company of choice. Both our tenants and us as owners couldn't be more appreciative of such exceptional service by this company. I had a gas leak in my back patio and the technicians were able to detect where the leak was coming from, they replaced the 15ft plus gas pipe, which they had to break concrete to get to, and also laid new cement once they were done. Vince and Seth were very informative throughout the whole process. We ran into some issues when we had to have the city come out and inspect the work, due to the new process in place because of COVID, but Seth kept me informed with all that was going on and made sure we got our gas turned back on. Both Seth and Vince were very professional, polite and determined to get the job done. Vince also made it a point to that if anything comes up to please reach out to him. We had a plumbing emergency when our washer/dryer drainage pipe started to leak in the wall, after sending out a request for 24/7 plumbers, Preferred Plumbing & Drain were the first to respond with a tech ready to be dispatched within the next morning. Our tech arrived and got right to work, assessed the situation and had the parts on hand to cut/replace the broken pipe causing the leak. After the scheduling mixed up, Preferred Plumbing made every attempt to make things right for me.  I rescheduled another appointment with them the next day.  Seth and Ronnie came by and gave me a quote that was very reasonable.  Two days later they showed up as they said they would and did a wonderful job.  They T-off the water pipe at the crawlspace below the bathroom and routed it to the side of the house.  Poor Seth crawled down there a few times just to make sure there was no leak. There was water leak in our bathroom that affected my son's wall towards the base board.  The wall is shared by the shower stall and my son's bedroom.  I never tried online plumbers, but came across Preferred Plumbing & Drain.  I spoke to Darrin on June 5 at 4:02 pm and mentioned that a technician will be at our house at 7pm for an estimate.  Darrin called me at 7:13 pm that there's no technician available & rescheduled June 6 at 3 pm.  Seth called me on June 6 at 9:38 am and confirmed the 3pm appointment but he called again at 12:04 pm that they are running late, probably between 4 to 5 pm.  Brian, the technician called me at 4:28 pm and mentioned that he will arrive at 5 pm, and he did! With all the fiasco on time changes, you'd think I'd rate Preferred Plumbing & Drain lower than a 5 star, but Brian Olquin saved the day!  Brian came with a mask on and ready to work.  He immediately found the issue, went to Home Depot and replaced the shower cartridge, all done in an hour! Brian was very professional, polite and direct to the point.  Preferred Plumbing & Drain is very lucky to have Brian on their team!  I'll contact them again in the future for any plumbing issues and hopefully, they'll send Brian again! I sent a note on Friday evening about a leak and expected clog in my drains.  I received an answer within 5 minutes and received a call shortly thereafter and had two gentlemen come to my house Saturday morning exactly when they were expected.  Eduardo and Matt were wonderful.  They explained what had to be done, gave me an estimate and proceeded to get the work done right away. Edwardo Alverado did an amazing job and he is very knowledgeable. Since they take per hour pay he worked very efficiently and timely to make sure we won't have to spend more than what we expected. This time Dave (#18) came over and solved a very difficult problem of attaching my sink basin to the counter. I have a very heavy ceramic basin and he did a beautiful job. I have been a customer of PPD for close to 10 years. They have always been great. I just recently had Kitchen/Garage sinks back up. Called them on Memorial Day at 8AM. They arrived at 10AM. Gave them a call one night due to a pipe brusting under our home in Antioch. They weren't able to come out right away so came out next morning. The home had to go without water for a night and some hours into the day but Patrick did all the work and gave us the 10% discount for having to wait. I was not there so I did all the communcation by phone. I spoke with Alexis and did my transaction by phone and was given everything I needed on my end. Glad this plumbing nightmare is over! Thank you for helping me and saved me a lot!! My home toilet drain on second floor is clogged and messed up last Friday.  I asked my First American Home Insurance for help and they assigned a plumber to fix it, but that contractor had a look and said it is a big issue in drain pipe and need to remove the toilet bowl to clean the drain pipe.  He requested an extra $700 payment from me to fix the issue besides insurance payment. I was shocked and he called my insurance and still could not make a deal with insurance coverage.  I was desperate and almost agree to pay that amount to the contractor for fix the headache toilet issue. Meantime, I want to check around to see second opinion. Very fortunately, we searched Yelp and found your service company and I asked for your help. Today you guys come to my home and made the fix and have to remove the toilet bowl to clean the drain pipe.  I think it is a big job and major fix, but you only charged me very very less and fixed major issue.  I am shocked too!  I did not expect this very low price in my mind. I had requested several other minor plumbing services from other contractors in last few years and they easily charge around or more than this price. I had a clogged drain pipe earlier this week and needed someone who could come as soon as possible. I requested a quote from multiple plumbers on Yelp with the best reviews.  Preferred Plumbing & Drain was the first one responded which was way faster than what they said (20 minutes) on Yelp. Then I called them and a nice lady picked up the phone quickly and told me their technician can come today while that time was already later in the afternoon. She told me that their dispatcher will call me and give me an ETA in 10 minutes and the dispatcher did! Brian the technician came shortly.  He found the issue and solved the problem. More than that is he tried very hard to make it very clean even though he had to use a big motorized snake. In the same week, I had another water leakage issue with a water pipe which also needs immediate help. Of course, I called Preferred Plumbing & Drain and they sent Brian to help quickly. The leakage is under the kitchen sink where there are a lot of water pipes go to water supplies and faucet outlets. Brian was able to find the leaking quickly and replaced it with a new pipe. Thank Preferred Plumbing & Drain, and Brian for helping me twice in one week and in a very responsive and professional way! I was hesitant to call a plumber in with the Shelter in Place.. I'm a bit of a germaphobe as it is, but after reading the reviews, I decided to try Preferred. The girl on the phone was patient with all my questions and assured me of the safety precautions the company was taking. When Brian showed up, he was wearing gloves, kept a safe distance, and kept things clean as he changed out my garbage disposal. The entire job was finished quickly and properly. Let me start by saying that these guys are my heroes! We just went through hell for a week trying to snake my plumbing (my husband/dad/father in law at least did haha) isolated the problem but couldn't clear it, called roto rooter, got lots of manipulation and no real help, basically was going to cost a fortune just to see what was wrong, after waiting 24 hours and went through 2 plumbers, one, yelled at me because I was calling the company to verify what he was telling me was true about the not so free estimate. Long story short I call these guys not sure what to expect but I'm just trying here, and I get the NICEST person who was completely understanding and assured me that it was a free estimate, less than 2 hours later hes here, said it just needs a special tool, flat hourly and affordable rate, and would take less than an hour. It did, AND he was super friendly AND HE CLEANED the area before returning the toilet (several days of failed snaking... it was gross) John 007 was our holiday plumbing hero, and it cost a fraction of what roto rooter wanted just for their "free estimate". I was slightly freaking out over the news that my tenants toilet was clogged and flooding the bathtub!  Benjamin Williams came out and was a life saver.  He asked me about my 'main line' and I had NO IDEA what the heck that was.  But he patiently inspected my property, found it and got to fixing my pipes. At 4:30 pm on Fri we discovered a leak by our water main. We called another company who referred us to preferred plumbing and drain. By 5:30 Orlando arrived and got right to work. He had his shovel ready to investigate ( so many plumbers these days shy away from any actual digging we have found- making various excuses to not do the job) . He determined the leak location in less than 15. He quoted us a price ( which was extremely reasonable). He had to go get some parts since we have pvc and not copper piping . He returned and spent the next 3 hrs ensuring our repair - did all the dirt refill and at 8:30 at night he turned the water back on and collected the payment. The work comes with a 1 yr warranty. I first called Roto-Rooter and was met with a very nasty woman on the phone. I quickly hung up and looked ta my approved vendor list and Preferred Plumbing was second on my list. A woman answered and she was INCREDIBLY sweet and understanding. I had called around 4:30 pm regarding our bathroom drain backflowing (super gross). She set up a service call and they arrived about 2.5 hours later (which was perfect for me!) Chase came out and found the problem, which was a stupid baby wipe that someone had flushed down. Pro tip: don't flush any type of wipe, even if it says they're ok to flush. He left and stated someone would be back in the morning to fix another problem he found with our power flush thing (idk what it's called). So in the AM, Wilson came back and said the power flush was fine, however, he noticed our sink was clogged (it was), and fixed that for me since he was already there. Both guys were total sweethearts. Very kind and efficient and were able to answer all of my questions. If I ever have a problem with my plumbing or drains, they are going to be my FIRST choice for now on. Thanks, guys!! Oh also: the price was very reasonable.
